1. If yourwatch is not serviced regularly by a professional, it will wear itself out by mixing dirt with the oils inside the watch and wear the internal parts until they are permanently damaged.

2. Water resistance must be maintained by replacing all gaskets periodically.
     (included with our Complete Overhaul starting at $300)

3. The crown and tube should be inspected regularly because this is the most common area for dirt and moisture to work it's way into the watch case.

4. Water resistance may be compromised if a watch crystal is cracked or chipped. It is much cheaper to replace a watch crystal than it is to risk permanent damage to the internal movement or dial.

5. Watch bands will degrade over time if they are not cleaned. If your watch is "water resistant" (make sure that it is) make sure that your crown is screwed down tightly then wash it in warm soapy water to remove dirt. Then be sure to rinse your watch well. Dried soap attracts dirt.
